Dr. Adrienne P. Sillman


Dr. Sillman has been in private practice as an Educational Specialist in Hollywood, Florida, for more than 50 years, working with children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, dyslexia, and accompanying issues. She has earned the confidence and respect of highly regarded professionals in education, psychology, counseling, pediatrics, speech and language, and occupational therapy.


Dr. Sillman earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Miami, and her Masters and Doctor of Education degrees from Nova University. There she served as an Adjunct Instructor in the Graduate Education Program for many years, teaching a wide variety of courses relating to the development, evaluation, and remediation of children with special needs to teachers seeking certification in the field of exceptional student education. Dr. Sillman is state certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Specific Learning Disabilities grades K-12, and Elementary Administration/Supervision.


Prior to establishing a private practice, Dr. Sillman was an elementary teacher and administrator in the public schools of Miami-Dade County, Florida, where she taught multiple grades and participated in a U.S. Department of Education special school project. During that time, she also served as a consultant to Miami-Dade County Public Schools, in-service program developer and trainer of teachers, and director of educational interns.


A lifelong advocate for children, Dr. Sillman regularly develops and conducts seminars for parents, educators, and other professionals throughout South Florida. She has presented at domestic and international conferences for special educators, and has had the honor of having been invited to present at the International Special Education Conference (ISEC) in the United Kingdom. She regularly participates in meetings with school system personnel on behalf of special-needs children and their parents and has served as an expert witness.
